Dosage
- Dogs and Cats: 0.4 mL per kg of body weight
- Puppies and Kittens: 0.2 mL per lb of body weight
- Horses: 24 mL per 100 lbs of body weight
- Cattle: 40 mL per 100 kg of body weight
- Piglets: 20 mg per kg of body weight
- Lambs and Kids: 20 mg per kg of body weight
- Poultry: 7 mg per kg of body weight
Frequency
- Dogs and Cats: Administer once daily for 2–3 days
- Horses: Administer once daily for 1–2 days
- Cattle, Sheep, Goats, and Swine: Single dose
- Poultry: Administer once daily for 2 consecutive days

- Dogs and Cats: Treatment duration is typically 2–3 days
- Horses: Treatment duration is typically 1–2 days
- Cattle, Sheep, Goats, and Swine: Single dose
- Poultry: Treatment duration is typically 2 consecutive days
Special Instructions
- Administration: Toltrazuril is administered orally. Shake the bottle well before use.
- Species Considerations:
- Cats: Avoid using formulations intended for poultry, as they may be caustic to feline mucous membranes.
- Pregnant Animals: Consult a veterinarian before use in pregnant or lactating animals due to limited safety data.
- Monitoring: Observe animals for any adverse reactions, including gastrointestinal upset.
- Environmental Impact: Toltrazuril and its metabolite can accumulate in soil when manure from treated animals is repeatedly spread, potentially affecting groundwater and plant growth.
