Description

Fenbendazole Liquid Dewormer for Cats (10% & 20%)

Fenbendazole Liquid Dewormer for Cats is a benzimidazole-class anthelmintic formulated to support the management of susceptible gastrointestinal parasites. Fenbendazole works by binding to parasite tubulin, disrupting glucose uptake and energy metabolism, leading to parasite elimination.

Fenbendazole is widely used in veterinary medicine and is the active ingredient found in products such as Panacur.
In many regions, feline use is considered extra-label and should be directed by a licensed veterinarian.

Parasites Commonly Addressed in Cats

Fenbendazole is used (under veterinary guidance) for susceptible:

  • Roundworms (Toxocara species)
  • Hookworms (Ancylostoma species)
  • Whipworms (rare in cats but susceptible)
  • Certain tapeworms (Taenia species)

⚠️ Not effective against Dipylidium caninum (common flea tapeworm).
⚠️ Not effective against coccidia.

Common Symptoms of Intestinal Parasites in Cats

Cats with intestinal worms may show:

  • Weight loss
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Pot-bellied appearance (especially in kittens)
  • Visible worms in stool
  • Lethargy
  • Poor coat condition

If symptoms persist, veterinary testing (fecal exam) is recommended before treatment.

Verified Dosage (Cross-Checked by mg/kg Standard)

Standard veterinary reference dose:

50 mg per kg of body weight once daily

1 kg = 2.2 lb
50 mg/kg = 22.7 mg per lb

If Using 10% Strength (100 mg/mL)

22.7 mg ÷ 100 mg/mL =

0.23 mL per lb once daily

Administer for 3–5 consecutive days.

If Using 20% Strength (200 mg/mL)

22.7 mg ÷ 200 mg/mL =

0.11–0.12 mL per lb once daily

Administer for 3–5 consecutive days.
